Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday announced a 15-man squad for the ODI series against Ireland and England during the on-going tour.
Left-hand batsman Sami Aslam who played important knocks of 82 and 70 in the third Test match against England at Edgbaston has found a place in the 50-over team.
Meanwhile, veteran right-arm pacer Umar Gul was also able to make a comeback into the national squad with Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz in the ranks.
Pakistan also named 22-year-old Hasan Ali as the fourth pace option who has 106 wickets in 23 first-class matches.
A notable exclusion from the squad was tall left-arm pacer Mohammad Irfan who was replaced with Gul because of his better fielding skills.
“While picking the squad, the team management and captain were consulted and all concerned gave their consent in this regard,” said chief selector Inzamamul Haq.
"The team has been selected keeping in mind the conditions and the recent performances of some players in domestic and A team tours. The team is a fine blend of experience and youth and the selectors believe that team will do well.”
