August 10, 2016

In honour of Independence Day and in collaboration with Mobilink, Pakistan’s e-commerce leaders Daraz and Kaymu, collectively known as Daraz Group, have planned something big for their customers. The leading online portals have announced a massive online sale event starting at midnight on August 13, the eve before Independence Day, with huge discounts across all retail categories. Pakistanis can make the best of this holiday, put their favourite anthem on repeat and indulge in some blissful retail therapy.

This is the first time Daraz and Kaymu are hosting an event together and what better way to get together and show that they are one, than doing it at a time when all Pakistanis come together and feel a sense of unity and togetherness. The underlying purpose of the entire sale is to celebrate the best of Pakistan with a powerful hashtag #HumPakistani being the anchor. Customers will have access to 1947 coveted deals starting the eve before Independence Day and all through the exciting day. Besides a special surprise offer by Mobilink on Jazz X, there will be several other amazing discounts up to 70% on electronic and fashion items on Daraz.pk and from 19%-47% discounts across all categories on Kaymu.

To build up the positive vibes around Independence Day, Daraz Group has released a video celebrating all the unique elements of Pakistan, tugging all the right heart strings.

Daraz is also running a social media contest asking fans to share a picture of what they love most about Pakistan, with hashtag #HumPakistani, to get a chance to win exciting prizes.

According to Dr Jonathan Doerr, Co-CEO Daraz Group,
“Pakistan is on its way to becoming one of the most tech-savvy countries in the world – we have so many reasons to celebrate our beautiful country and a mega-sale event, celebrating the best of Pakistan seems just about right. This is the first time Daraz and Kaymu are running a campaign together and what better time to kick-off our unity than a time when all of Pakistan can stand with us and be one. We are really excited.”
