ISLAMABAD:

A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA)’s flight bound for Skardu skidded off the runway at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA) on Monday. No major loss of life or property was reported. A PIA spokesperson confirmed that the aircraft (PK-451) had developed a hydraulics problem, due to which the aircraft had to land back at the Islamabad airport. The spokesperson said that after a safe landing the aircraft could not be stopped on the runway and veered off. An inquiry into the incident is underway.
