England 262-4 against Pakistan at tea on day four

Hosts look to extend their lead past 200

BIRMINGHAM: England were 262 for four in their second innings, a lead of 159 runs, at tea on the fourth day of the third Test against Pakistan at Edgbaston on Saturday.

Gary Ballance was 21 not out and Jonny Bairstow two not out.

Pakistan start day four confidently against England

Pakistan grabbed the wickets of openers Alex Hales and Alastair Cook on the morning of the fourth day of the third Test match against England at Edgbaston.

Cook and Hales combined on day three to score past Pakistan's lead of 103 runs and ended the day with 120 for no loss on the scoreboard.

However, on the morning of the fourth day, a diving catch from leggie Yasir Shah at point off a Sohail Khan delivery dismissed Cook (66).



In the very next over, Mohammad Amir found Hales' (54) edge and Younus Khan was there at the second slip to cup it.

Joe Root and James Vince are now on the crease for England who are looking forward to build a big partnership and bolster England's second innings score.

At lunch England had a 80-run lead on the board with eight wickets in hand to extend it.
