The dark side: Govt urged to conduct enquiry

CHITRAL: The federal and provincial governments have been urged to conduct an enquiry into claims that flood and earthquake relief items were used at Shandur Polo Festival. Chitral District Bar Association President Ghulam Hazrat made this request during a news conference at Chitral Press Club on Thursday.  “The international community sent millions of rupees worth of tents and relief of the flood and quake-affected people of the district,” the association’s general secretary said. “However, the tourism department utilised these items for guests at the festival.”
