Amid chaos: Hangu hospital in dire straits

HANGU: A large number of patients have been grappling with countless difficulties at District Headquarters Hospital Hangu as health care standards at the facility have deteriorated. Insiders privy to the development told The Express Tribune doctors and the staff do not provide basic care to patients.

A woman told The Express Tribune she brought her child to the hospital’s emergency ward. However, doctors did not examine her son.

“I waited for a long time,” she said. “I requested doctors and the staff to help us. But no one was willing to examine my son.

A doctor at the facility dispelled the impression that staff at the hospital was unwilling to examine the patient.

“[The woman’s] claims are completely baseless,” he said.
