Till death do us part: Couple commits suicide

SARGODHA: A man and a woman committed suicide in a Sajid Shaheed police precinct on Wednesday after their families refused to allow them to get married.

Police said on Thursday that the couple, residents of Block-D Satellite Town, had been going out for some time.



They had wanted to get married but their families had refused to grant them permission. On Wednesday, they sat in a car parked in the garage of a house in Old Satellite Town and swallowed poison.



They were found dead on Thursday morning. Police said they had taken the bodies to a hospital for post-mortem examination and later handed over the bodies to their families for burial. Police said they were looking into the matter.
