On subsidised prices: Farmers given poultry units 

For treatment of hens, the farmers were registered

MULTAN: The district livestock department provided 600 poultry units to farmers, on subsidised prices, in Multan during July, said Livestock District Officer Sabtain Bhatti. The package comprised five hens and a cock and was given to farmers at Rs1,320 per unit. Bhatti said the actual cost of each unit was Rs2,200. For treatment of hens, the farmers were registered with the department and officials would pay regular visits for vaccination and cure of the poultry animals, Bhatti added.
