PESHAWAR: A biometric system has been installed at Safwat Ghayur Shaheed Memorial Children Hospital at Haji Camp, Peshawar to ensure the attendance of staff.

The initiative was inaugurated by City district nazim Muhammad Asim Khan on Wednesday. According to handout issued on the same day, the city nazim was accompanied by local government officials. The city nazim visited various wards of the hospital and enquired after the health of the patients. He also inspected the attendance of staffers.

“The biometric system has been installed to ensure [the] attendance of staffers to provide better health services to the patients,” the handout cited the city district nazim as saying. “Staffers who are absent from their duties without reason will not be given salaries and other allowances.”
