While Feroz’s role is nothing like what we have seen him play in his previous outings, Sajjal essays a hopeless romantic in the film. “My character in the movie is of a boy named Zain who struggles to become a film-maker, a dream his father could never achieve,” says Feroz. On the other hand, Sajjal’s character Mahira is a girl who has multiple layers to her personality. “She is passionate and can go to great heights to secure her relationship with the love of her life,” shares Sajjal.
Their sizzling chemistry in front of the camera has left many wondering whether they are a couple in real life as well. Asked how compatible they are while working together, Feroz adds, “Two words that describe my experience on set with Sajjal are ‘comfort’ and ‘balance’. We both understand what each of us is looking for while doing a scene. She knows the reactions I want and vice versa.” For Sajjal, the comfort that the two share has been the defining point of their success. “In a movie like ZKHH, where there is intense romance, comfort is key and that’s what we both have. Working with Feroz has always been fun.” Shouting out to his fans, Feroz says, “They have made us who we are today, all the credit goes to them. If I could, I would go and personally thank each and every person who has supported me and loved me throughout the years.”
Shehzad, who previously directed Mah e Mir, is venturing out into a completely different genre with ZKHH. “I have been a huge fan of his work. Anjum Bhai took complete charge of the film. He was playing the captain and I had complete faith in him” states Feroz. Sajjal echoes his sentiments saying, “I had a great experience with him. He gives actors a lot of space and allows them to fully interpret their character.”
According to Feroz, ZKKH is a film that promises to entertain the audience and at the same time, redefines new age romance on screen. “To be honest I haven’t seen many Pakistani movies that have been completely romantic or revolved around just two characters, so this is really the first of its kind,” he says. On the same note, Sajjal feels the film is a perfect blend of all the right things. “ZKHH has the perfect amount of romance and emotions, all the flavors that our audience wants,” shares the actor, who will also be making her Bollywood debut in Bonnie Kapoor’s upcoming film.
