Aalo Ghosht | 8 years ago | Reply So effectively the IG has said that the police cannot do its job and its up to the citizens to protect themselves using their licensed weapons. He has effectively given a license to kill to anyone who carries a licensed weapon. What if a law abiding citizen gets close to an SUV carrying guards. He could effectively be killed if they see him as a threat citing that he was a robber. This vigilante justice needs to be curbed and stopped and the police needs to be depoliticized and given the necessary powers and freedom to do its job effectively.
