Iqbal said out of $46 billion under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, projects worth $10 billion had hit the ground while the remaining schemes were in the pipeline.
Giving details of power production during the next few years, he said, 3,600MW electricity to be produced through LNG would be available by June next, adding, the Jamshoro Power Project being completed with the assistance of the Asian Development Bank would start producing 1,320MW electricity by 2018.
He said 1,320MW Port Qasim Power Project being completed under the CPEC and 1,320MW Sahiwal Power Project would start producing electricity next year.

Work was under progress on 2,000MW Thar project and 1,320MW Hubco project which would be completed by 2018-19, he added.
About infrastructure development, he said, motorways from Havelian to Thakot and the Multan-Sukkur section of the Lahore-Karachi motorway was being completed at a fast pace.
On the western route, the road from Burhan to D I Khan would be completed by June 2018, he said and added Gilgit-Baltistan was working on the environmental economy.
