Measures needed to prevent accidents

ISLAMABAD: The growing incidents of domestic animals’ colliding with vehicles on the capital’s major roads have forced citizens to implore the concerned authorities to come up with safety measures to ensure the protection of their lives and property.

Citizens have frequently complained of encountering wild animals, particularly for the last few weeks.

In which the number of incidents has risen, inflicting financial and physical losses to the residents of the capital.

Motorists also complained about their encounters with domestic animals, chiefly cows at Kashmir Highway, Islamabad Club road and the Expressway.

Dozens of domestic cows can be seen grazing alongside the Club Road and Kashmir Highway, posing serious threat to the lives of the motorists.

The fencing alongside Club Road is in disrepair as well.

The victims strongly protested and urged the concerned authorities to ensure better safety measures for preventing the entry of these animals on the roads.
