Two arrested, snatched car recovered

CHAKWAL: A young man drowned in a dam in the limits of the Dhuman police station here on Saturday, sources said.

According to reports, the 25 years old Arshad, a resident of Panwal village, along with his friends was fishing in the Dhoke Qutubdin dam when he slipped into the deep water and drowned. The Rescue 1122 team upon receiving information fished out the body after two hours hectic efforts. The body was handed over to the heirs after completing medico-legal formalities at a local hospital.

Meanwhile, the Dhudial police arrested two suspected carjackers at Chak Malok and recovered a snatched car from their possession.

According to police, the two persons, identified as Ali Muhammed, and Muhammad Aijaz, residents of Bajaur Agency snatched the car (LHE-8323) from a man at Chak Malok and fled.

The Dhadial police intercepted them at a police picket and recovered the car from them.
