Ministry finalises Hajj arrangements
143,368 Pakistanis will perform Hajj this year at a cost of Rs264,851 per person

Ministry of Religious Affairs has finalised the Hajj arrangements with first batch of pilgrims ready to take off from Hajj flights starting on August 4 from various cities of the country, said an official of the ministry.
The arrangements were finalised on Saturday during a meeting chaired by Secretary Ministry of Religious Affairs Suhail Aamir and attended by ministry’s officials, said Joint Secretary Noor Zaman.
The government has already announced Hajj policy-2106 in which 143,368 Pakistanis will perform Hajj this year at a cost of Rs264,851 per person as compared to Rs264,971 charged last year with a relief of Rs120 per person, said Zaman.
Minister of Religious Affairs Sardar Yousaf told The Express Tribune that an emergency management system has been established in order to avoid stampede like the one which took place in Mina last year.
