ISLAMABAD: A judicial magistrate on Friday remanded a fraud and forgery suspect into police custody for three days.

Asad Kiani, the suspect, was arrested after his interim bail application was rejected by the IHC on Thursday. He was booked by the Margalla police for allegedly preparing fake stamped papers.

Police produced him before Judicial Magistrate Jawad Hussain on Friday and requested six-day physical remand of the suspect for investigation and recovery of fake stamped papers. The court, however, allowed a three-day remand and directed the police to produce the suspect again on August 1.
