Contest: Four arrested for violence over vote

Police arrested four people after an FIR was registered on Hussain’s complaint

MUZAFFARGARH: Police on Friday arrested four people after they attacked a family of their political rival, leaving 10 people injured at Khanpur Bagga Sher.  Police said Zawar Hussain had told them that his family members had not voted for Shaukat Hussain, a candidate for union council chairman in local government elections. He told police that his supporters had attacked his family with clubs after an argument on Thursday. He said 10 people from his family were injured and were taken to the Muzaffargarh DHQ Hospital. Police arrested four people after an FIR was registered on Hussain’s complaint.
