A judicial magistrate at Cantonment courts on Wednesday sent three women, arrested for shoplifting and other thefts, to jail on a 14-day judicial remand. On Tuesday, Ghaziabad police had produced Shabnum, Rabia and Kaneez before the court. The investigation officer told the court that they were involved in several theft cases. He pleaded with the court to grant physical remand for interrogation. The court rejected the request and sent them to jail on a 14-day judicial remand. The Ghaziabad police had arrested the accused on Tuesday and recovered a car, a motorcycle, gold jewelry, cash and cell-phones from them.
