Crime diary: Woman shot dead in DI Khan

DI KHAN: A woman was gunned down in Penyalla village in DI Khan on Thursday. A police official told The Express Tribune Nasreen Bibi was at her house when two unidentified men barged in and opened fire on her. As a result, she died on the spot.

“The assailants managed to flee the site,” the official said. “Their identity could not be ascertained.”

According to the official, the deceased’s mother registered an FIR against the incident.

“It is believed that the incident was triggered by a dispute within the family,” he said. “An investigation is being carried out.”
