‘People who need to know the truth already know it”

Aditi Roy Hydari clarifies rumours of link-up with Farhan Akhtar

Like a true starlet, actor Aditi Roy Hydari takes every link-up rumour in her stride, particularly those revolving around her alleged relationship with Wazir co-star Farhan Akhtar. The Bollywood beauty takes it all with a pinch of salt, giving little importance to such things, reported The Indian Express.

When asked how she feels when her personal life comes under speculation, Aditi responded, “I just wish people had better things that interested them so much, like the work I am doing, rather than what I am eating for dinner.” She went on to add that link-up rumours are all part of working in the film industry. “I think it is all part of the job. When I was new, it used to upset me but today, I am okay with it. If it makes someone happy to write some rubbish about me, then write. What can I do about it? As long as I know what the truth is and can sleep well at night, its fine.”

In response to queries on why she has never spoken or come clean about her rumoured romantic affiliation with Farhan, Aditi said, “But why should anybody say anything? It’s such a waste of time. If I say something, you will write she said blah blah and use all the names. Why keep talking about it?” Aditi prefers to maintain a tight lid on her personal life. “People who really need to know what the truth is already know,” she claimed.

Swirling rumours linking Aditi and Farhan gained mileage after the duo worked on Wazir together, soon after which, Farhan announced his separation from wife Adhuna. Following his announcement, speculations about Farhan and Aditi allegedly being a couple became more intense.
