Crackdown: Food outlets sealed over poor hygiene

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Wednesday sealed a number of food outlets over poor hygiene and adulteration in food products. The authority’s Aziz Bhatti and Wagha Town food safety officers sealed Naseeb Biryani for operating without a licence. The restaurant’s storage area was found to be untidy. The Samanabad Town team closed down Data Naan Shop over poor cleanliness arrangements and sent flour samples for laboratory examination. The Ravi Town officers fined Allah Hu Hotel and Haji Hotel over poor cleanliness arrangements. They collected flour samples and sent them for examination. The Gulberg Town team fined Lucky Naan Shop and Butt Murgh-Chanay for storing food products in unclean freezers.
