Gas leakage blast: Coal mine owners come under fire

He urged the government to call experts from Balochistan to probe the matter

HANGU: Locals of Doli, Lower Orakzai Agency have slammed the owners and managers of coal mine factories over gas leakage blast inside a coal mine. A worker of Doli mines Shafiullah held a news conference in Orakzai Press Club on Wednesday. He said the owner of coal mine factory had allegedly termed the incident at a coal mine an accident when it was, in fact, a blast caused by a gas leakage. He urged the government to call experts from Balochistan to probe the matter. The worker also pressed the government to ban illegal and dangerous mining in the agency. He said over 300 workers have lost their lives while working in coal mines.
