This was said by the NHMP Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Ashraf Zubair Siddiqui, here on Tuesday, said a press release.

He was addressing a seminar organised to impart road safety education to people with hearing and speech impairment.
Necessary directions have been passed on to concerned quarters, he said.
Members from various societies also participated in the seminar.
Special traffic signboards will be erected along national highways and motorways, the DIG said.
He added that special recommendations would be send to provincial driving licensing authorities.
Siddiqui said that the NHMP had also designed a special booklet containing road safety tips and messages.

Transporters will be briefed to give special treatment to people with hearing and speech impairment, he added.
Issuance of licence to people with hearing and speech impairment is prohibited in 26 countries, Siddiqui said.
More than 1.25 million people are killed in road accidents every year whereas 50 million get injured or disabled, according to the World Health Organisation survey, he said.
