PESHAWAR: A woman and her daughter were allegedly harassed and arrested over suspicion by police in Charsadda. 16-year-old Kashima along with her mother Razia, in a press conference in Peshawar on Monday, said ASI Iftikhar and SHO Imran of Charsadda police station had harassed and arrested them. On May 25, Karishma along with her mother was en route Charsadda in a rickshaw when police rounded them, Kashima said, adding they were handcuffed and shifted to a police station. She said the police insulted and registered a case against them. They were released just the next day on bail after being presented in court. Now, Kashima alleged, the SHO was blackmailing them and had released her photos on social media; as a result of which her engagement ended. Both the mother and daughter requested the IG, and CM K-P to take notice of the incident.
