Land record: World Bank mission reviews progress

LAHORE: Following the successful completion of work on computerising the land record in Punjab, a World Bank mission examined the progress on the project by visiting the land record office in Hafizabad on Friday.

Land Record Management Information System Deputy Director Maqbool Ahmed Dhawla briefed the mission about the progress and informed that over 23,000 rural ‘mouzas’ of Punjab had been computerised.

“The dedication and hard work of the staff along with the support of
district administration and other stakeholders paved the way for the
project’s completion,” he said.

He pointed out that record centres had been established in all 143 tehsils of Punjab and computerised service delivery was being ensured to the public within 30 to 50 minutes.
