North Korea has expressed its interest in collaborating with Pakistan in the field of sports, said a press statement.
North Korean Ambassador Kim Tae Sop visited the Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada on Wednesday to discuss strengthening of ties between the two countries.
During the meeting, Sop discussed collaboration between the two countries in the field of sports such as table tennis, wrestling and taekwondo, and discussed providing Pakistan with coaches from North Korea.
He highlighted his country’s achievements in the said fields and mentioned the gold medals won in various regional and international championships.
Pirzada said that Pakistan was a sports-loving nation and sports was a government priority.
