PESHAWAR: A wanted militant was arrested in Achini in the city on Monday. The arrest was made by the counter-terrorism department. According to a handout issued by the department, Sher Rehman was arrested from Ring Road. Two improvised explosive devices weighing 500 grammes each were seized from his possession. Rehman was wanted by the police in several cases of extortion and target killing. During initial interrogation, he confessed that he was planning an IED attack on Ring Road. He was shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation and an FIR has been registered against him.
