RAWALAKOT:
Minister for Information Pervaiz Rashid said on Sunday that July 21 will be the day of victory for lion (PML-N election symbol) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) polls.

“The victory of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will bring progress and prosperity to the people of AJK,” he said speaking at an event organised to welcome Sayab Khalid, former speaker of the AJK Legislative Assembly and a group of political workers in PML-N fold.

Rashid said being Prime Minister of Pakistan and leader of the elected PML-N government in liberated state, the voice of Nawaz Sharif would become part of struggle of Kashmiris for right to self-determination, giving strength to the freedom movement.

Regarding the old guard of AJK politics, he said that after retirement of Sardar Abdul Qayyum from practical politics, there were complaints against the working of Sardar Attique, whose politics was just based on 'palace intrigues' and not to serve the people.

On the contrary, the minister said, PML-N’s politics was all about development projects and facilities of hospitals, education and jobs, he said.

He said PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto came to Kashmir and criticised the PML-N and Nawaz Sharif. Bilawal should tell what PPP has done in Sindh and AJK to ask for votes in the upcoming elections in Azad Kashmir, he stressed.

Imran Khan had no Kashmir policy and no direction as is visible with the state of government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the minister recalled.
