The first organising committee meeting was held at Central Police Office on Sunday under the supervision of Additional IG Police Mian Muhammad Asif.
According to the approved schedule, prayers will be held in all major mosques of the province and district police officers, along with other policemen, will also visit the graves of martyrs of on the morning of August 14 to pay tribute. Policemen will also visit the houses of officials who have lost their lives. Similarly, blood donation camps will also be arranged in various district headquarters hospitals on the regional level. At least 100 officers will donate their blood at these camps.
Various speeches and competitions will also be held at all police training schools and centres of Hangu. On this occasion, position holders will be awarded with cash prizes on the first day of the ceremony in Peshawar. Main function of the day will be held in Nishtar Hall and people from all walks of life, including celebrities, will be invited.
Various others from the industry, civil society, and journalism sectors will also be invited. The participants will also be requested to visit the graves of the martyrs of the K-P police. Public posters, banners, pamphlets and portraits will be distributed at the event in order to attract a larger audience.
CCPO Peshawar, SSP operations Peshawar and SSP Coordination Peshawar and officers of the CPO will be organisers of the event.
