Street crime: Crackdown ordered

ISLAMABAD:  

A senior police officer has ordered Islamabad Police to launch a crackdown on proclaimed offenders and street criminals.

While presiding a meeting held to review efforts to combat street crime on Saturday, SSSP (Operations) Sajid Kiani directed police officials to make strict checking at police pickets and on roads to purge the city of the street crime and other menaces.

He said that cases against the arrested suspects should be registered without any delay.
