KARACHI: South Africa notched up their second consecutive win as they defeated New Zealand by 13 runs in the Super Eight round of the 2010 ICC World Twenty20.
New Zealand, restricted to 157 in pursuit of a 171-run target. Nathan McCullum (26) and Daniel Vettori (10) ensured that the Kiwis did not lose by a big margin as the pair put on 34 runs for the eighth wicket in just 22 deliveries. Morne Morkel – fresh from a four-wicket burst against Afghanistan – was again the pick of the bowlers with a brace for 27.
