Twelve workers of the gas field were on their way to Dera Allahyar from the Uch gas camp when three armed men on bikes attacked their vehicle near the Dargai area.
Witnesses said two of the workers and a security guard were killed while one other injured.
However, the police confirmed the death of only one person. Meanwhile, security forces reached the spot and cordoned off the area.
