Nine-year-old girl gang-raped in Karachi

At least three people raped a minor girl in Muhammadi Colony neighbourhood of Karachi on Monday and fled from the scene.
The accused – Waseem son of Karam Ali, Ismail s/o Karam Ali and Iftaj s/o Muhammad Zaman – lured the nine-year-old girl, resident of Machhar Colony, to an abandoned residential plot by giving her some money and raped her.
Officials at Docks police station have registered a case of the incident and started investigation.

Meanwhile, mother of the girl demanded that the culprits behind her daughter's rape be hanged to set an example for such incidents in future.
On June 8, another minor girl was allegedly assaulted in Hyderabad by a 16-year old boy who happened to be her relative, and was arrested after the parents reported the case.
The boy lured the minor girl to the rooftop of the house and committed the assault.

Similarly, on May 28, a girl was killed in mysterious circumstances after she allegedly fell from a roof in Gul Goth, Sohrab Goth, within the limits of SITE Super Highway police station.
An official at the hospital had voiced concern that the girl had been raped with a subsequent inquiry ordered to confirm the occurrence.
