Deepika, Ranveer to star in yet another Sanjay Leela Bhansali film

Padmavati will mark a hat-trick for Sanjay-Deepika and Ranveer trio.

With the success of Bajirao Mastani and Ram-Leela, Deepika Padukone is up for a hat-trick as she is set to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film, Padmavati.

Music director Shreyas Puranik announced the news on Twitter, Hindustan Times reported.

However, the account could not be found on Twitter and rumours were rife that he had deleted his account. Rumour has it that Bhansali had fired Puranik from his film.



The Bajirao Mastani star is set to play a legendary queen alongside Ranveer in the highly-anticipated film.

Padmavati is a film inspired from the tale of emperor Alauddin Khilji and his obsession with the queen of Chittor.



It is reported that the writer of Bajirao Mastani, Prakash Kapadia will be scripting Padmavati.

The film's shooting of the film will begin in September 2016.
