Trail of violence: Two killed, one injured in Charsadda

SHABQADAR:  

At least two people were killed in separate incidents in Shabqadar, Charsadda on Saturday. Iftikhar Khan, an official of Battagram police station, told The Express Tribune Raheem Gul and Summaiya* were in a relationship. Summaiya’s father Irfan was displeased with the arrangement. In a fit of anger, he opened fire on them, killing Gul on the spot. Summaiya was injured. After the incident, the accused managed to flee the site. However, the injured was shifted to the hospital and was in critical condition. Further investigation into the incident was under way. A case was registered against the incident. Separately, a man gunned down his wife in Sro Kali. According to the police, the victim was identified as Farzana. The incident was triggered by a domestic squabble. A case was registered against the incident.
