The founder of Pakistan's largest welfare organisation, Abdul Sattar Edhi, died Friday, leaving the nation orphaned.

Tributes swiftly poured in for the humble man almost unanimously revered as a national hero. Here's what the stars had to say about the philanthropist, social worker and a slogan of welfare and humanity.
