KARACHI: I lost my father on July 28, 2010 in the Airblue plane crash. Since then, I have not been told the exact reason for the crash because the government has refused to make public the relevant report. The role of the media is important in this because it could bring pressure on the government to release the report and ask the airline to give the heirs of the victim the compensation that is their due right. The media also needs to take the Civil Aviation Authority to task on this issue.
