Wimbledon: Aisam reaches mixed doubles quarter-final
Aisam and Shvedova defeat British duo Neal Skupski and Anna Smith 2-0 in the third round

Pakistan's Aisamul Haq Qureshi reached on Wednesday the Wimbledon quarter-final with Kazakhstan's Yaroslava Shvedova in the mixed doubles event.
Aisam and Shvedova defeated the British duo Neal Skupski and Anna Smith 2-0 in the third round.
They dominated the first set taking the lead 1-0 in the opening game, while Skupski and Smith caught them up in the sixth game to level the match 3-3.

But the 14th seeds, Aisam and Shvedova took the first set with a service winner 6-3 in the ninth game of the match.
They faced resistance from the local pair as they conceded the first game of the second set 1-0; however, both levelled it in the next 1-1.
The match lasted for more than an hour.
Aisam was also competing in the men's doubles event; however. he had to face the second round exit earlier in the tournament.
The pair will now face 11th seeded duo Marcin Matkowski and Katarina Srebotnik in the quarter-final.
