Some progress Police ‘find clues’ in blind murder case
Police on Tuesday said they had found clues in a blind murder case and claimed arrest of the suspect was imminent.
A 40-year-old man was found murdered on a greenbelt in G-10/1 last Friday.
Police said the man’s throat had been slit with a sharp-edged tool.
The victim was later identified as Ali Gul Laghari. His body was left on a greenbelt along Kashmir Highway in a large case on July 1.
Passers-by informed the police about the body.
The police shifted the body to a mortuary.
The victim’s family contacted the police when Laghari did not return, and found out that he had been murdered.
Ramna police registered a murder case against unidentified persons the same day on the complaint of the victim’s nephew, Muhammad Yaqoob.
Sub-inspector Muhammad Shafiq, who is an investigation officer for the case, told The Express Tribune that the police had found important clues in the case and were close to nabbing the suspect.
He said the victim worked as a driver in the Ministry of Commerce and hailed from Sanghar District in Sindh.
