Man in Multan kills five for ‘honour’

Mother of two, Nazia Bibi was strangled by her husband over suspicion of having an illicit relationship with neighbour

MULTAN: A woman was allegedly killed by her husband over honour in Multan’s Seetal Mari area on Tuesday, police said.

Mother of two, Nazia Bibi was strangled by her husband over suspicion of having an illicit relationship with their neighbour, according to Seetal Mari police.

Muhammad Aslam, a resident of Chiniot married 30-year-old Bibi five years ago. The couple started living in Multan following their marriage.

Aslam was arrested following an FIR being registered against him on the complaint of Bibi’s family.

Further investigation is ongoing.
