ISLAMABAD:
Model-turned social media butterfly Qandeel Baloch has decided to settle abroad soon after receiving death threats following the surfacing of two photographs in which she appears with Mufti Abdul Qavi.

Speaking to The Express Tribune on Monday, Qandeel said that after the episode with Mufti Abdul Qavi she has been receiving threats over the phone. She said that she has decided to move abroad with her parents after Eidul Fitr as she knows she would not be provided security in the country. She claims that she has not yet received any response from the interior ministry regarding her application for security.

“I have learnt through media that the interior minister has confirmed receiving my application and he is pondering over the issue. Chaudhry Nisar had also maintained that although he received an application requesting provision of security, it was under a different name, Fauzia Azeem,” she said.

A picture of Qandeel and Mufti Qavi created quite a buzz on social media and made the rounds even in the mainstream media. A second picture showed Mufti Qavi holding a cell phone to his ear and the woman wearing his hat, standing close to him.
