Why do we let these people mislead citizens regarding Kalabagh Dam?
LAHORE: A spokesman for the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry has stated that India is spending over Rs15 billion on the anti-Kalabagh Dam lobby in Pakistan annually, because it knows the dam will bring about a revolution in agriculture and industry in the country. Not only is it a waste of time talking about these unknown lobbies that may or may not exist, this line of thinking diverts attention from the people who miss no opportunity to bash Kalabagh Dam.
SIndh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has repeatedly stated in the Sindh Assembly that Kalabagh Dam will never be built and got it removed from the list of National Dam Protection Projects. Nisar Khurro, also of the Sindh Assembly, says the dam is a danger to Sindh.
Why do we let these people mislead citizens regarding Kalabagh Dam? It is we who are to blame, not some Indian lobby.
