As the world gets ready for Valentine’s Day on February 14, research shows that just fancy cars can no longer win a woman’s heart over. Apparently, the new and improved way to a woman’s heart is now through a kitchen — so all you men out there, it’s time to suit up or aptly set up cause women out there seem to be leaning towards the Martha Stewart tendency.
A promotional survey conducted by luxury appliance brand, shows that 83 per cent of the women fall for suitors with a luxury kitchen in their studio apartments and bachelor cribs, leaving only 17 per cent of the female population with the pending preference of men with fancy cars.
“Shiny red convertibles may impress your mates, but they won’t make your Valentine’s heart race and cheeks flush like a top-of-the-line gourmet kitchen,’’ said one of the statements in the survey.
“In fact, 61 per cent of women said a beautiful kitchen would better help them decide whether to ‘heat things up’ in a relationship than a romantic bedroom (38 per cent) or flashy garage (1 per cent),’’ said the statement.
“So gentlemen, before you blow your bonus on a hot ride to impress a girl, invest your money where it really counts,’’ added the survey.
Most men would shudder at the thought of domesticity, but the truth is women around the world are yearning to see a softer, more sensitive side of men. And what better way to unravel a man’s taste, sophistication and domesticity than a stable running kitchen.
Still don’t get it, do you? Let’s put this discussion in boy lingo, having the kitchen is the equivalent of earning money in, Defense of the Ancients (Dota) - the ever popular video game; but what good is the money if you can’t upgrade your creatures strengths and wipe out your enemy? In the very same vein, what good is a prim kitchen if you don’t actively use the luxury and win over the girl of your dreams? Instead of taking her to an overpriced, over booked and overrated restaurant use your new home addition to impress your date with a home cooked meal and add flavor to your personality.
Statistically speaking, 46 per cent of women are won over with men who can cook and 44 per cent fall for men “who are fit” and conscientious about their built, according to the survey findings.
Long have we let John Gray’s Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus dictate the boundaries of gender expectations, it’s time to take matters in to our own hands now because it’s really not rocket science! Gentleman gear up, call up Ashary’s Kitchens or Interwood according to your preference and let your domestic inane work to your benefit.
