LOS ANGELES/MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra shared she has been in relationships in the past, but has never dated anyone. The former Miss World, who will make her Hollywood film debut with Baywatch, opened up about her love life, stating she feels the process of beginning in a relationship with someone is very different in India.
“You like someone, you court each other, you get into a relationship,” she said. “You are answerable to each other. Whereas the non-answerability of dating, my God, I don’t know if I would ever be able to.”
The 33-year-old actor has been linked with Bollywood actors Shahid Kapoor, Harman Baweja and superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the past. “I’ve never dated,” said Priyanka, adding, “I’ve always been in relationships”.
On the professional front, Priyanka revealed she cannot take up shooting of another Hindi film until the shoot of the second season of Quantico is completed by March 2017. She also kept the suspense alive on whether she is doing the biopic on astronaut Kalpana Chawla. She neither denied nor confirmed the news. “I am deciding over a lot of very interesting subjects and I have to pick one or two. I am listening to a lot of interesting films here and in the US.”
She added, “I can’t do a Hindi film till the season two finishes for Quantico, so I have the luxury of time. The problem is that I have only a certain chunk of time for next year.”
Priyanka, who juggles life between Bollywood and Hollywood, said she has been meeting remarkable film-makers and if she had it her way, she would say yes to all of them. “That is why I spent so much time in Mumbai because I have been meeting a lot of film-makers. I’m at that point where I’m being greedy as there are some incredible films that are being made in Hindi films right now.”
Always on the go with her work projects, Priyanka stated she has a habit of doing at least four films a year. “I have been reduced to one or two films. So, I feel it’s not fair. I’m taking my time to figure out which film, because I can’t start shooting before March [2017]. So I’ll decide in the next few months,” said the Bajirao Mastani star. “I’m just trying to see which ones I’ll be able to accommodate because I have very specific timelines.”
Priyanka was last seen on the big screen in the Indian film Jai Gangaajal and has already wrapped shooting of Baywatch.
