HARIPUR: At least four people, including three Chinese workers were killed on Sunday at Tarbela Extension 4, Haripur.

The accident occurred when some Chinese and local engineers associated with Sinohydro company were engrossed in construction work on Power House No 4, also called as Extension 4, when the wooden structure they had erected for support collapsed, burying nine of them under the rubble.

Two others were feared dead - said to be buried under the debris, police sources said.

Rescue workers soon reached the site, evacuated the injured and shifted them to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, Islamabad.

Chances of survival of the two workers who are still under the debris are slim, added the sources.
