KARACHI: The traffic police have decided to register a case against the Pakistan Coast Guard’s (PCG) personnel for attacking a traffic police section on Saturday.

Traffic police claimed that their private staff was beaten up by PCG personnel, after the traffic police’s vehicles lifting staff lifted the motorcycles of two PCG personnel parked outside a shopping mall on Zaibunnisa Street.

“The PCG personnel came to our Governor House Traffic Section in two PCG vehicles and broke the windows, beat the staff and took two of our vehicles lifting staff with them and later released them after more than an hour,” claimed traffic ADIG Tahir Noorani, adding that the police have registered an FIR against PCG personnel.

On the other hand, PCG spokesperson said that it was a misunderstanding and the issue was resolved as both the departments’ officials have decided to take departmental action against their men if they are found guilty.
