Samsung is set to launch its flagship device in the plus-sized phone category and while there hasn't yet been an official announcement in this regard, there have been a fair share of leaks on its specs and design.

The latest comes from a reputable leaker Evan Blass who revealed a picture of what looks to be the latest addition in the Note series.

Samsung flags better than expected Q1 profit rise

The image shows the new device in three colours that are Black Onyx, Silver Titanium, and Blue Cora. The device is expected to be released next month and these images provide the closest to what the device would look like.

In the specs department, we are expecting  a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with Samsung’s trademark double edge display, similar to the one featured in the Galaxy S7 edge released earlier this year. The device would also pack 6GBs of RAM, a rather large 3,600mAh to 4,000mAh battery, and a 12 megapixel camera.

How much smarter are you than your smartphone, really?

One of the confirmed features of the new device is the new iris scanner, which will employ eye-tracking technology. This feature would allow users to unlock their device using three lenses that capture the image signal, and then check the iris of the user based on the image generated as well as other information.

The leaked images also confirm rumors that Samsung would be skipping a number in its Note line-up as the device would be called ‘Note 7’ instead of ‘Note 6’.
