Intercepted: Narcotics smuggling bid foiled

1,000 bottles of liquor and 3.5kg of charas was seized

TAXILA: The Taxila Police on Thursday foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of liquor and narcotics from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to Punjab and arrested a suspected trafficker. According to DSP Sajid Gondal police acting on a tip-off, intercepted a Suzuki van on Hattar road and during search seized 1,000 bottles of liquor and 3.5kg of charas from his possession identified as Mohsin Ali. A case has registered against the suspect under the anti-narcotics law.
