MANSEHRA: A woman who mysteriously disappeared from her house in Mansehra and was found from Karachi has been sent to Darul Aman when she refused to go home with her husband.

An official of Oghi police stationtold The Express Tribune the woman has been identified as Shaheen Bibi. She is a resident of Chamiyal village in Oghi tehsil and went missing from her house on April 23, 2016.

On the complaint of her son, the police started an enquiry but did not register a criminal case of her kidnapping. However, the complainant subsequently approached the court. Under Section 365-B of the Pakistan Penal Code, a criminal case was registered against Abdul Kareem, Anwar Khan and Taj Muhammad on May 25 under section 365-B of the Pakistan Penal Code. The Oghi police rescued the woman from Karachi and presented her before the court of judicial magistrate in Mansehra.

While recording her statement, Shaheen Bibi denied that she had been kidnapped. Shaheen Bibi said she fled to Karachi when it became unbearable for her to live with her husband Malik Aman.

She requested the court to allow her to live with her children. The court has sent her to Darul Aman and ordered her to file for khula.
