LAHORE: Lahore High Court Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah on Wednesday said that corrupt judges would not be tolerated and would be thrown out. He was addressing leaders of district bar associations of the Punjab at the Judicial Academy. He said complaints against judges would be decided within 15 days. “Elimination of non-professional elements from the ranks of lawyers has become a challenge to restore the dignity of the legal profession,” he said. “It is an open secret that the functioning of subordinate courts is not up to the mark. Support from lawyers is critical for reform. However, no one will be allowed to get favourable decisions by harassing judges or locking the courts,” he said. Later, the chief justice held a meeting with Chief Secretary Zahid Saeed. Justice Shahid Hameed Dar, Justice Yawar Ali and Registrar Tariq Iftikhar were also present.
